When e-filing a Writ with the Court, the document types listed are what that specific Court prescribes. That means some courts may NOT list the specific Writ needed (or even a Writ document type at all). However, the Court STILL requires the filer select one of the available options in the Document Type field.
If a user doesn’t see the specific document type needed, then they will want to select the one that most closely matches, or is somewhat generic in nature. Additionally, some filers might see a document type of Application which an be an options to consider as well.
Note: Users will also want to fill out the Document Description field in the courts that allow for that. This allows the court to effectively process the filing.
